last night in omaha a 22 yo black man named James Scurlock was killed by a racist, homophobic bar owner named Jake Gardner. he walked out of his bar, waving his gun and yelling racial slurs at protesters, and he was soon taken into police custody. now omaha and lincoln are under an 8pm-6am curfew for the next 72 hours, and they’re calling in the national guard

People are violating the mandatory curfew to protest downtown, there’s a standoff between the police, national guard, and protestors. It’s still peaceful for now (10 minutes after curfew).
